The partners of the TRINITY project are working to achieve the objectives of this project. What are the most notable advances in the last month?
EKC partner (Belgrade) is developing an innovative concept of Reliability Margin statistical assessment, as a hybrid between Flow based (Flow Reliability Margin – FRM) and transaction-based (Transmission Reliability Margin – TRM) calculation principles, which would in return provide more robust transmission capacity calculation in both available principles.
In Croatia, the partners KONČAR-KET and KONČAR OI are gathering all relevant historical data from wind power plant Pometeno brdo, located in Croatia, which is serving as one of the demo RES generators in TRINITY project. For T-RES module, partners successfully connected the KONČAR server in Croatia with the ETRA server in Spain. Communication between servers is tested and works reliably. The next steps are to prepare and send the real-time data needed to develop the tools in the T-RES module. Due to the pandemic, part of the team is working from home-offices and part of the company’s offices.
ETRA (Spain), as project coordinator, is developing and improving the dynamic map for TRINITY. Our objective is to identify suitable locations for Renewable Energy Sources (RES) promotion and the best investment details in a specific area. Partners are creating a new toolbar for the virtual plant composition. This process will call the different modules and services to obtain compliance results. Also, ETRA has already carried out some tests with Blockchain. The ETRA’s team is integrating this new technology in its smart meters in order to issue Guarantees of Origin.
