On June 20, Kadri Simson, the Commissioner for Energy of the European Commission, visited to TRINITY’s booth at ETRA’s exhibition during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW 2023). During the visit, TRINITY’s team presented a Real-Time 3D visualization of one of the wind farms that is monitored and controlled as part of the project. The Commissioner showed great interest in these innovative technologies and commended TRINITY for its impressive results.
Visitors to the booth had the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about the project through engaging discussions with ETRA’s R&D experts, who are actively involved in driving these initiatives forward. Additionally, Álvaro Nofuentes, the coordinator of the TRINITY project, participated in the session titled “Smart Grids: Supporting the Integration of Renewable Energy Sources and the Transition to Clean Energy” (available online). Nofuentes emphasized the potential of Artificial Intelligence in optimizing the management of energy grids and renewable energy sources, eliminating the need for extensive hardware installations.
Furthermore, Nofuentes took part in an interview hosted by ENLIT, where he discussed the crucial decarbonization of EU grids. Stay tuned for the upcoming release of the video, which will delve deeper into this important topic.
