TRINITY has been acknowledged by various European entities through different awards and recognitions.
In 2021 and 2022, the Renewables Grid Initiative recognized the consortium’s work with the “Good Practice of the Year” awards. For two consecutive years, the jury selected TRINITY as one of their favorite practices. The jury was truly impressed by TRINITY and the excellent collaboration, scope, and transferability it demonstrates.
In 2022, recognition came from the European Commission through its Innovation Radar initiative. The TRINITY project has been acknowledged for its four innovative products by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar. These innovations, stemming from the Horizon 2020 project TRINITY, aim to enhance cooperation and coordination among the transmission system operators in Southeastern Europe to facilitate the integration of electricity markets in the region and promote greater use of clean energy. These products span various stages of market maturity levels on the path to commercialization.
TRINITY is now recognized among the best EU-funded innovators. Its products are now part of the many outstanding EU-funded innovations identified by the Innovation Radar, along with the innovators behind them.
The Innovation Radar assesses the different maturity levels of innovations on their path to commercialization, and it has established four innovation categories based on the respective scores of Innovation Management and Innovation Readiness Indicators.
These four products fall within the “Business Ready” maturity level, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of “Affordable and Clean Energy” and “Climate Action.”
