TRINITY project has been working on a report that provides an overview of the current state of the electricity market in the Southeast Europe (SEE) region and Spain, with special attention on national intraday and reserve markets in the region and existing plans for future development.
This report, led by EKC partner under the name “Intraday Market Coupling, Over-the-counter market and Ancillary Services Market analysis”, is part of the task within the TRINITY Cross-Border Market Coupling Framework. The goal here is to enhance cross-border cooperation and ensure electricity market integration in the SEE region and between the EU and non-EU countries by design, implement and demonstrate the tools for intraday market coupling and ancillary services market.
This document starts with a brief overview of the power market in SEE countries plus Spain, as an example of the western Europe electricity market. A brief overview encompasses everything from history and legislative to different categories of power market such as bilateral, organized, and balancing market. Then, the report provides an overview of the current state, future plans, and final consideration of the intraday and reserve market, in the context of TRINITY solutions and the ongoing European process.
This report will be soon available on the website. Stay tuned!
