A report on “Novel approach for reliability margin calculation” has been submitted for review by EKC Team members. This includes the proposal for calculation methodology for reliability margin assessment applicable to both Flow Reliability Margin (FRM) for Flow-Based calculation and Transmission Reliability Margin (TRM) for Net Transfer Capacity (NTC) calculation. It is based on a comprehensive statistical analysis of historical data by comparing D-2 planning models with actual real-time recordings of the corresponding timestamps in order to determine existing deviations. This innovative approach will enable better utilization of the existing transmission capacities improving the efficiency of energy trade and network operation.
