Advancement and Exhibition of T-MARKET Platform


The TRINITY consortium has been diligently working on elevating and showcasing the various components of the T-Market platform.

Intraday Market Coupling Auction Module
Commencing on September 6th, the demonstration phase for the Intraday Market Coupling Auction (ID MCA) module was initiated. Collaborating partners in these demonstrations include BELEN, CGES, EMS, ETRA, HUPX, and SEEPEX, with EPEX SPOT serving as the Market Operator.

These weekly auctions take place as follows:
1. On Tuesdays, Intra-Day Auctions (IDA1) are conducted for 60-minute Market Time Unit (MTU) products, encompassing the entirety of Wednesday (00-24).
2. On Wednesdays, IDA2 auctions are held for 15-minute MTU products, covering the timeframe from Wednesday 12:00 to 24:00.

Capacity Reserve Auction (CRA) Module
On September 7th, the demonstration phase for the Capacity Reserve Auction (CRA) module commenced. Each week features an auction for a single-zone Capacity Reserve. Key participants in these auctions are NOSBiH, MEPSO, ESO-EAD, CGES, and SEEPEX, with EPEX SPOT acting as the Market Operator.

Launch of TRINITY Impact and Replicability Initiative

On September 21, 2022, the Romanian Energy Center (CRE), acting as the coordinator for the, organized a Kick-Off meeting to clarify expected outcomes, define roles and responsibilities for project partners, task allocation, scheduling, and outlining the approach for forthcoming meetings.
The overarching objective of the "Impact Assessment and Replicability" work package is to assess the impact of the TRINITY project and the demonstrations conducted within it. To achieve this, real-world data collected during the Integration and Demonstration activities will be utilized. Through the calculation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), the Work Package will conduct a comprehensive analysis, encompassing a cost-benefit assessment, a social and environmental evaluation, as well as a technical review of the project's performance.

Among one of the favorite practices of the "Good Practice of the Year 2022"

Another year being selected as one of the favourite practices of the annual ‘Good Practice of the Year’ award under the category “Technological Innovation & System Integration”! Thus, the project is part of the brochure ‘Good Practice of the Year 2022’.
The jury was really impressed by TRINITY and the excellent collaboration, scope, and transferability that it demonstrates.

TRINITY team met in Croatia

Between 19-20 of October, TRINITY celebrated its second Consortium Meeting of the year in Zagreb (Croatia), hosted by KONČAR – Digital.

TRINITY consortium has had two intense days of meetings and workshops. More than 50 partners have discussed the progress of all working packages and further developments of TRINITY tools like T-Market, T-Sentinel, T-Coordination, and T-Res including demonstration and exploitation activities.

Discover Operator Fabric in TRINITY

TRINITY partner, RTE international, organised the webinar on Operator Fabric & TRINITY on 6 December. The Operator Fabric is the Smart Assistant for Transmission System Operators and Regional Coordination Centres. Operator Fabric is a modular, extensible, industrial-strength platform for use in electricity, water, and other utility operations. Operator Fabric is an open-source solution, developed under the umbrella of the LF Energy.

Coming actions

TRINITY and FARCROSS projects are working on a common scientific publication called “Merging cross-border flow optimization techniques for performance maximization”. In the next months, the projects will check where to publish it. Besides, both projects will co-organise events to showcase their final results.
TRINITY partners are working on product demonstrations in different scenarios and soon the findings will be report in new deliverables.

EU Sustainable Energy Week 2022 TRINITY hosted a booth at the Energy fair.

ENLIT Conference 2022 TRINITY participated with a booth at the EU Projects Zone of Enlit Europe Conference and in the EU Projects Zone Hub 2 Sessions. Here, the project leaders and coordinators discussed successes and lessons learned.

Task Force 1 Regional STA of the Stirring Group Regional Coordination of ENTSO-E – TRINITY participated in a presentation of the products and benefits for the TSOs.

3RD PCI Energy DaysParticipation in the exhibition area together with the CROSSBOW project and in the session "Smartening our electricity grids".

18th European Energy Market Conference – TRINITY participated in two paper sessions titled “Blockchain-based Guarantees of Origin issuing platform” and “Short-term load forecast in power systems: a comparison of different practical algorithms”.
