On 29th June TRINITY participated in the workshop on Blockchain applications in the Energy Sector, organised by the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum, as one example of “Status of R&D Innovation in Europe”.
The workshop presented the latest report published by the Observatory, focusing on Energy Sector& discuss the EU action plan for digitalisation of energy.
There were panel discussions focusing on “Standardization Activities of DLT in the Energy Sector”, “From Theory to Practice: Tales from the Industry” and “Status of R&D Innovation in Europe”.
Utilizing Blockchain as a way of tracking Guarantees of Origin (GoO) is something that is being investigated by several energy companies in Europe. The event allowed TRINITY to show how the GoO issuing platform developed in the project is aligned with current trends and provides new features to Issuing Bodies.
